6th July
The other game was getting me down. So with that in mind I decided to start a new game. I felt that it was about time that I did a 2D beat-'em-up.

10th July
I've started on the basic game engine. Each character has 3 animations - not overly exciting, but better than nothing.

11th July
Huston, we have movement :) This whole double-buffering technique is doing my head in. WHY DO THEY DO THAT!?!?

17th July
Aahhhhhh! That's why! Right, now that's sorted we can begin advanced animations. Oooh, a few special FX would be nice as well.

20th July
Made the characters bigger (now 100x100 instead of 85x85). Added more character animations. More double-buffering problems :(

29th July
Added background. It doesn't work properly (and I can't solve it either). Added new energy bars. Five hits and you're out.

2nd August
Extended the number of hits using clever animation doubling. Now ten hits and you're out! Even more double-buffer hell |-(

11th August
Added 'menu' feature. It's a black empty space, but it's a title screen none-the-less. I've spent the rest of the day creating other characters to use with the game (Goku & Iorri).

12th August
Spent most of today cleaning up x,y positions and creating a cool names file (so you can see names of the two characters - could store copyright detail and stats too!). Added background music, but that seems to be playing havoc with the refresh rates - D'oh! Back to the drawing board...
